Some call him sagely, most call him a wunderkind, yet everyone can agree on one thing: Pangea Organics’ founder and CEO, Joshua Onysko, is an exemplary model for smart, successful eco-living for both civilians and corporations alike. He thinks outside the landfill, and it shows in the company he runs, the products he makes, and the people he inspires.
Beto Lopez is the Global Lead of IDEO’s Systems Design discipline. A Senior Product Designer based in Palo Alto, Beto realizes new-to-the-world innovations within established, complex systems by applying IDEO’s broad industry and technology experience.
As a complement to design thinking which helps understand and envision what people need, Beto applies systems thinking to help frame, change and sometimes disrupt how those value propositions are delivered to people. Beto’s expertise is continuously nurtured and advanced by IDEO’s global work in Medical Products, Food & Beverage, Packaged Goods, Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Furniture and Sporting Goods.
His passions include traditional product design, business and innovation strategy, and futures projects that assess emerging trends.

Joseph Mpagalile (47) is an agro-food processing engineer (PhD), and he graduated from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom in 1999. He currently works with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as an Agro Industry Officer in the Rural Infrastructure and Agro Industries Division (AGS) and his main responsibilities are on logistics and value addition. Prior to joining FAO in 2010, he worked at Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania as an Associate Professor of Agro Food Processing Engineering and Technology Transfer Coordinator dealing with Intellectual Property Management matters. Joseph has won several awards including the prestigious Fulbright African Senior Research Scholar award that enabled him to spend nine months doing research on the use of renewable energy in agro-food processing at the Industrial Agricultural Products Center at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, USA.
