Next year's event will be bigger and better than ever before!

April Crow
The Coca-Cola Company

As Global Sustainability Director, Packaging for The Coca-Cola Company, April Crow is working to help the company reach its vision of a world in which packaging is no longer seen as waste but as a valuable resource for future use. She provides leadership for the company’s global sustainable packaging and recycling platform as a part of the Office of Sustainability. During her eighteen years at Coca-Cola she has held a variety of Corporate and Business Unit level roles in Environment and Water Resources, Scientific & Regulatory Affairs, and Quality. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, Michigan State University Center for Packaging Innovation and Sustainability, and the Trash Free Seas Alliance In her most recent role she launched several of Coca-Cola’s signature recycling initiatives such as the highly successful Give It Back campaign, EKOCYCLE™ in partnership with will.i.am, the creation of www.cokebins.com and Bin Grant Program as well as supported customers like Delta Airlines in launching their own recycling programs. She also manages a number of external programs and collaboration efforts in partnership with government, industry and non-government organizations.

Brad Tomm
Zappos.com, Inc

Brad Tomm is the senior manager of campus operations and sustainability for Zappos.com, Inc., where he is responsible for the implementation of strategic environmental projects in the areas of energy, water, recycling, logistics, green building and education. He also specializes in statistical and financial modeling of the company’s energy, water and waste footprint. Tomm is Zappos’ first full-time sustainability professional but joins an existing, passionate green team called L.E.A.F. Prior to joining Zappos, Tomm was the director of sustainable operations for MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas, NV. Tomm spent five years with MGM Resorts’ Corporate Sustainability Division helping the company to become a recognized leader in environmental responsibility. Notably, he developed the company’s waste management and recycling programs and helped MGM Resorts increase its recycling rate from 9.8% in 2007 to more than 38% in 2011. Tomm started his career as a senior wireline engineer for the oil services giant Schlumberger, where he collected information and data about the chemical, electrical and physical characteristics of wells in southern California. Tomm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and is a LEED accredited professional. He has an MBA from Thunderbird Global Business School and bachelor’s degrees in economics and geology from Vanderbilt University.

Waste Management

Tom is the Director of Waste Management Sustainability Services and provides over 20 years of environmental and business management experience. Through the pioneering of a sustainability consultancy within Waste Management, his speaking engagements and sustainability strategy expertise, Tom has helped business leaders leverage sustainability as a platform for innovation in developing their products and services while creating long-term value. Waste Management Sustainability Services provides senior level advisory services and sustainable innovation practices to organizations, communities and corporations. Using Cradle to Cradle and the practical knowledge of recoverability within material management, the team is dynamically transforming every supply chain. Recently he has teamed up with William McDonough to form the Waste Management McDonough Sustainable Innovation Collaborative. The Collaborative is about What’s Next in recyclable packaging and products. By Designing up from the dumpster, innovative packaging and products can be created. Tom has an MBA from Colorado Technical University and a BS in Environmental Engineering from Trine University. He has obtained a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and is currently working on a certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Stanford University.
