Sara Jackson, a dual national of the UK and South Africa, has worked in various roles for Nestlé SA for 3 decades, 2 of which were based in the GCC. Her experience includes senior business and executive leadership roles in regions across Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Sara represents the CIRCLE Coalition on the Policy Committee of the Circular Economy Council in the UAE. She has participated in several initiatives, together with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technologies to define policies to support the development of the Circular Economy in the UAE. In November 2022, under Sara’s leadership, the CIRCLE Coalition has successfully licensed the Circular Packaging Association under the Dubai Chambers. The work of the CIRCLE Coalition includes initiatives to support the development of the Circular Economy in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain.
In Saudi Arabia, Sara has supported the establishment of the KSA Packaging Working Group under the Federation of Saudi Chambers and as Technical Advisor to the Group, is engaged in developing initiatives between the National Centre of Waste Management and leading Saudi industry leaders.
Sara is a qualified ORSC practitioner and has completed the Certificate Courses in Circular Economy from the Technical University of Delft and the University of Cambridge Judge Business School.
Monir Bou Ghanem is a Policy Advisor at the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi providing a leadership role in government wide environment policy development. Monir has lead a number of flagship initiatives in Abu Dhabi including the establishment of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group and the development of the Abu Dhabi Environment Policy Agenda. Monir lead very specific flagship initiatives like the development of the Abu Dhabi Single Use Plastic Policy and the Abu Dhabi Climate Change Strategy. During his work in the agency, Monir served as the Director for Environment Policy and Planning where he lead the development of government strategies like waste management and air quality.
Before joining the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, Monir was a Director General of a leading conservation NGO in Lebanon. He also served as a sustainability policy advisor to the Lebanese Government and Parliament. He worked with the United Nations Development Program as well as a consultant with international organizations on issues related to collaborative planning, conflict management, waste, water and conservation strategies. In that context, he was a member of the World Bank Forest Policy Advisory Group. He participated in negotiation and adoption of several Euro Mediterranean Environment declarations and agreements representing Government or NGOs depending on his respective assignments.
Monir has a Masters Degree in Environmental Policy Planning from the American University of Beirut.

A communications and corporate affairs professional with over 20 years of experience, Priya Sarma brings extensive experience in driving collaborations across companies to achieve positive business, social, and environmental outcomes, emphasizing purpose-led growth.
Her purpose is to use the power of communication and partnership to achieve change. Her belief in the power of partnerships led her to set-up the Advertising Business Group (ABG) in 2016 – the region’s largest Ad and Marketing self-regulatory group – with more than 60 members, who account for over 70% of the MENA regions advertising spend and is a Board Member.
This drive to collaborate also led her to set-up the UAE Chapter of the Unstereotype Alliance in November 2020, garnering her the recognition by Campaign Magazine as a ‘Marketing Game Changer - 2020’.
In November 2022 she was elected as the Chair of the Circular Packaging Association, and in May 2023 to the Board of the Multinational Companies Business Group (MCBG).

Omneya is the Director of Corporate and Government Affairs for Mondelēz Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. Omneya has around 20 years of experience in strategic corporate, government and public affairs, policy, corporate communications, public relations, corporate social responsibility and social media in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa markets. She has experience in industries and fields as FMCG, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, automotive, financial services, and public administration.
Omneya is currently responsible for the company’s public policy agenda and regulatory engagement on a range of priorities. She is driving initiatives that focus on sustainability, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion in addition to mitigating business risks and ensuring license to operate. She is focused on policy shaping, advocacy and engagement. She represents the company with various external stakeholders including authorities, media and trade association.
Prior to joining Mondelēz, she was the Head of Communications and Public Affairs for Boehringer Ingelheim in the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region (META). She handled both external and internal communications including public affair and industry representation. She was leading employee engagement and company value proposition.
I have more than 18 years’ experience in procurement and project management working across Russia, Germany and the UAE with Bosch, Nestle and the last 11 years with Mars. Prior to the current role in Sustainability I have served as External Manufacturing Director for Emerging Markets and Packaging Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager for MEA. I hold an MBA from Steinbeis University Berlin, Germany.
o Emeel Bishay is the Corporate and Government Affairs Manager – Gulf & Developing Markets at Mondelez International. In his current capacity, he provides leadership and coordination for all strategic communications, advocacy initiatives as well as special situations management in the Gulf & Developing Markets region. Additionally, he also leads the sustainability communications and advocacy strategy. As a business advisor, Emeel drives the external affairs and policy communications agenda in his region by understanding public, economic, and political drivers to provide strategic counsel that meets the company’s communications and business goals. Externally, he is also part of a number of trade coalitions that focus on connecting with government stakeholders in the region to provide a clear understanding of the key regulatory and policy issues facing the industry. Prior to joining Mondelēz, Emeel spent more than 15 years in consulting and in house roles, where he was responsible for strategy and planning, research and analytics, policy analysis, corporate communications, and providing counsel on reputational risk to senior executives across different industry sectors in the region.

Dana Mosora holds a Chemical Engineering degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest (Romania) and an MBA in Marketing from Colorado State University (US).
Her professional experience ranges from applied research in cosmetics, to consumer marketing in Colgate Palmolive and Sara Lee in US and Europe and plastic packaging value chain in Europe and Africa.
With Dow Chemical between 2007 and 2016, she led the Value Chain Engagement for the European Division of Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics and eventually headed the European, Middle East and Africa Sustainability and Advocacy initiatives for the business.
She is now the founder of DANA MOSORA Consulting, a company dedicated to driving the Circular Economy for Plastic Packaging and works as consultant for the European CEFLEX consortium.
As legacy project, she created in 2017 the ASASE Foundation in Accra, Ghana. The foundation is helping entrepreneur women from under-privileged communities to start social enterprises in recycling plastic packaging and deviate it from urban and marine littering.
Justin Wood is Vice President and Head of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. He joined the Alliance in April 2020 and is responsible in the EMEA region for developing the strategy, building a portfolio of high-impact projects that address plastic pollution and support a circular economy, as well as raising funds and developing partnerships.
Before joining the Alliance, Justin was Head of Asia Pacific and Member of the Executive Committee at the World Economic Forum from 2015 to 2020. In this role, he managed the Forum’s portfolio of activities and relationships in Asia, working on trade and economic integration, human capital development, technology policy, environmental sustainability and infrastructure financing.
Before 2015, he worked for The Economist Group for 18 years, the last 14 of them in South-east Asia. For eight of those years Justin ran an economic advisory and research service covering the Asia region, and before that he worked as a journalist, covering economics and business.
Justin is a graduate of the London School of Economics (1992) and has completed post-graduate studies in corporate finance at London Business School (2001) and in public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School (2019). Justin is the author of several books and is a frequent commentator on TV and in the press. He is married with three children.
