Headquartered in Karachi, IPAK was founded in 2017 as a green field project to manufacture “BOPP” packaging films in Lahore. The Company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is spanning over an area of ~7 Acres land, where the major machinery has been acquired from the world’s top class engineering firms such as Bruckner Maschinenbau (Germany), BOBST (United Kingdom), KAMPF (Germany), etc.

International Packaging Films Limited (IPAK) has announced the launch of its two newest subsidiaries, PETPAK Films (Private) Limited (PETPAK) and Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK), tripling the Group’s combined production capacity and making it the largest flexible packaging film producer in Pakistan. PETPAK’s new 8.7 metre/wide Brückner BOPET line came online in February 2024, closely followed by GPAK’s new 10.4 metre/wide BOPP line in April 2024, adding respective biax film capacities of 42,000 and 60,000 tonnes/year. These, combined with existing capacities at IPAK and its CPP manufacturing subsidiary, Cast Packaging Films Limited (CPAK), take the Group’s total nameplate capacity to 152,660 tonnes/year. IPAK’s CEO, Mr. Godil, commented: "With our enhanced production capabilities, we are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers and seize new opportunities in both domestic and international markets”.
Since its founding in 2015 the Group’s growth has been significant, in line with its vision to transition from local player to international brand. In October 2023, it launched IPAK Connect, based in Dubai, to drive international trade and extend its market reach to include regions like GCC, Middle East and Africa, while also helping to increase its presence within Far Eastern, North American and Latin American markets. The latest expansion will further support the company’s growth within the local and export markets, amid growing demand for high-quality packaging solutions.

With its streamlined life cycle assessment methodology, brands can assess the environmental impacts and resource consumption profiles of various packaging options throughout the supply chain.
